Brace yourselves, folks, because the once-mighty Joe Biden is about to face a rude awakening in the Keystone State. That’s right, the man who claimed Pennsylvania as his own personal fiefdom is now struggling to fill a high school gym, let alone win the hearts and minds of the state’s voters. If this is what a Biden rally looks like in a supposed stronghold, then the Democrats might want to start dusting off their resumes and updating their LinkedIns, because 2024 is shaping up to be a bloodbath.

Let’s start with the elephant in the room (or should I say the vast emptiness in the gym?). When a New York Post reporter showed up to cover Biden’s Philadelphia rally, they were greeted by a scene that could only be described as pathetic. Half of the gym was empty, with more space dedicated to the press than to actual supporters. It’s almost as if the Biden campaign had to choose between filling the room with enthusiastic voters or providing ample workspace for the media to document the lack of enthusiasm. Guess which one they chose?
But wait, it gets better! Recent polls are showing that Biden’s once-reliable support in Pennsylvania is evaporating faster than Nancy Pelosi’s credibility. Young voters, who were once enamored with Uncle Joe’s tales of Corn Pop and his love for ice cream, are now realizing that empty promises and incoherent ramblings don’t exactly pay the bills. Biden’s support among this crucial demographic has plummeted from 62 percent to a measly 47 percent since 2020. It turns out that the youth vote is about as reliable as a Biden gaffe-free speech.
And let’s not forget about the Black and Hispanic voters, who have been the backbone of the Democratic Party for decades. They, too, are waking up to the fact that Biden’s promises of unity and equality are about as hollow as his head. His support among these groups has dropped from 71 percent to 57 percent, a clear sign that the Biden magic is wearing off faster than a cheap spray tan.
But here’s the real kicker: Senator Bob Casey, a Democrat running for reelection in Pennsylvania, is actually outperforming Biden by up to 10 points in the polls. That’s right, a man who has been in Washington for longer than most of us have been alive is more popular than the sitting President. If that doesn’t scream “red flag” for the Democrats, then I don’t know what does.
Even former Representative Jason Altmire, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, couldn’t hide his surprise at the dismal poll results. “I’m surprised that things aren’t going so well,” he said, in what might be the understatement of the century. Altmire went on to explain that Biden should have a strong connection with Pennsylvania, given his personal ties to the state and the fact that it’s been trending blue in recent years. Well, Jason, maybe if Biden spent less time reminiscing about his childhood in Scranton and more time actually addressing the needs of Pennsylvanians, he wouldn’t be in this mess.
But fear not, dear readers, because according to Altmire, Biden is “doing everything he can do” and has “pulled out all the stops.” If half-empty gyms and plummeting poll numbers are the result of Biden’s best efforts, then I shudder to think what his worst would look like.
In the end, the writing is on the wall for Biden and the Democrats in Pennsylvania. The once-reliable blue state is now up for grabs, and if the Biden campaign can’t even fill a high school gym, then they’re in for a rude awakening come November 2024. But hey, at least they’ll have plenty of space to drown their sorrows and contemplate their political demise. Cheers to that, Joe!
