“The Rock Drops Biden: Woke Backlash”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has recently expressed regret over his endorsement of President Joe Biden in the 2020 elections, alongside voicing criticisms towards “woke” culture. This revelation was made in the context of polling data indicating a dip in support for the president.

Reflecting on his previous endorsement, Johnson remarked, “The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time. I realize now going into this election, I will not do that.”

Johnson emphasized his desire to unify the country, stating, “I will keep my politics to myself. It is between me and the ballot box. Like a lot of us out there, not trusting of all politicians, I do trust the American people and whoever they vote for that is my president and who I will support 100 percent.”

He openly questioned his satisfaction with the current state of America, answering with a definitive “no.” However, he remained hopeful about the future, adding, “Do I believe we are going to get better? I believe in that, I’m an optimistic guy and I believe we can get better.”

The actor had previously engaged in discussions with Biden and then-future Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2020 campaign and had publicly supported them. Following Biden’s victory over former President Donald Trump, Johnson shared his emotional reaction, emphasizing the need for unity despite differing opinions.

However, in a recent interview with Fox News, Johnson announced his intention to abstain from endorsing any candidate in the forthcoming 2024 election.

There has been speculation and encouragement for Johnson to consider a presidential run himself, a notion he has not entirely dismissed, hinting at a potential future in public office. Additionally, Johnson has a history of political engagement, having spoken at both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions in 2000 to advocate for voter participation.
