Trump Just Revealed VP Shortlist

Former President Trump has revealed a robust shortlist of potential running mates, with at least six contenders, including three former rivals for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, vying for the coveted spot.

During a Fox News town hall on “The Ingraham Angle” in upstate South Carolina, Trump praised the qualities of the potential candidates, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida, and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who switched from Democrat to independent.

“Are they all on your shortlist?” queried host Laura Ingraham.

“They are,” affirmed Trump. “Honestly, all of those people are good. They’re all good, they’re all solid.”

While skepticism surrounds DeSantis as a potential running mate due to past clashes with Trump, figures like Scott and Ramaswamy have emerged as staunch supporters of Trump’s America First agenda, endorsing him and actively campaigning alongside him.

Trump singled out Scott for his unwavering support, acknowledging his advocacy on Trump’s behalf. “Tim Scott has been much better for me than he was for himself,” remarked Trump, praising Scott’s dedication.

Other notable contenders like Noem and Donalds, both strong Trump allies, are also in the running, alongside Gabbard, who has earned favor among conservatives for her independent stance and criticism of her former party.

The revelation comes ahead of South Carolina’s Republican presidential primary, where Trump holds a significant lead over his major rival, Nikki Haley. Responding to Haley’s remarks about her continued candidacy, Trump dismissed her chances, asserting that losing one’s home state should not happen and ruling out Haley as a potential running mate.

As the race intensifies, Trump’s strategic maneuvering underscores his determination to secure victory in 2024.
