Melania Trump’s Mother Goes To Heaven

The mother of former first lady Melania Trump’s mother has passed away, according to a tweet made by Melania on Tuesday. Amalija Knavs was 78 years old at the time of her death.

In her tweet, Melania had written, “It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Amalija.”

She went further to describe Knavs as “a strong woman who always carried herself with grace, warmth, and dignity.”

“She was entirely devoted to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law. We will miss her beyond measure and continue to honor and love her legacy,” the tweet said further.

Former President Donald Trump also made a post in reference to the loss of his mother-in-law on Truth Social.

“This is a very sad night for the entire Trump family!!! Melania’s great and beautiful mother, Amalija, has just gone to a beautiful place in the sky. She was an incredible woman, and will be missed far beyond words!” he wrote.

Knavs’ death comes after Melania was noticeably absent from the Trump family’s annual Christmas photo. Her absence from the photo, which featured her husband, their 17-year-old son Barron and three of his children; Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Tiffany. Melania’s father, Viktor Knavs, was also in the photo.

While Melania was not the only Trump family member absent from the photo, as Eric Trump and his wife Lara were absent too, speculation had arisen from the left as to why she did not join in the photo ops.

However, during his New Year’s Eve party at his Mar-a-Lago residence, he told guests that she had been with her mother at the hospital.

“Her mother Amalija is very ill. Hopefully she’ll be recovering, but she’s been very ill, so … we just spoke, she’s down in Miami, a great hospital. Hopefully, that’ll be okay, but it’s a tough one, a very tough one,” the GOP front runner said.

A source had confirmed this to Fox News days before the party, saying, “Melania has always been very devoted to her entire family. It should be no surprise that she spent this Christmas with her ailing mother.”
