Devastating Desecration: Bibles Ignited in Flames!

On Easter Sunday, a pastor from a Tennessee community was confronted with a disturbing sight: a trailer filled with Holy Bibles set ablaze in front of his church.

Responding promptly to the incident at about 6 a.m., the Mount Juliet Police Department and Fire Department arrived at the intersection outside the Global Vision Church. They discovered a trailer, loaded with Bibles, engulfed in flames, obstructing the church entrance.

Pastor Greg Locke revealed that security footage from the church captured a man dropping off the trailer and igniting it.

Taking to Facebook, Locke shared his shock, stating, “It was quite the scene to wake up to on my first morning back from Israel.”

Describing the meticulousness of the suspect, Locke noted, “He was very meticulous, so he had to be very courageous to do what he did. We’ve had people do things to our building, we’ve been vandalized a number of times, hence why we have to have security, but never 200 Bibles being burned.”

Locke’s post included images of the charred Bibles, alongside photos of fire trucks and police vehicles at the scene.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident, with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office indicating their belief that the trailer was intentionally set on fire. However, they remain uncertain about whether the act targeted the church specifically.

In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office assured the community of ongoing efforts, pledging to provide updates as the investigation progresses.

Despite the unsettling occurrence, the church proceeded with its Easter services without disruption, echoing Locke’s sentiment: “It’s going to be a great day in the Lord.”
