Just over a week after a panga boat, suspected to be carrying illegal migrants, landed on California’s Malibu beach near the homes of Hollywood celebrities, another similar vessel was spotted in the area on Wednesday morning.

Around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a homeowner reported sighting a panga boat at Malibu’s El Pescador Beach. Panga boats are narrow, high-bowed vessels often used by human and drug smugglers. The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived first at the scene.
Upon arrival, responding units discovered the overturned boat on the shoreline, along with a debris field that included 15 fuel canisters and a few personal items, as reported by a spokesman from the Los Angeles County Fire Department to Fox News Digital.
Authorities were promptly notified, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and U.S. Border Patrol, who initiated an investigation. The U.S. Coast Guard also responded to the scene, and lifeguards were monitoring the area for any signs of individuals in distress.

This sighting occurred shortly after another incident where a boat, believed to be carrying illegal migrants, landed on a Malibu beach the previous week. Exclusive video footage obtained by Fox News’ Bill Melugin captured the moment when a boat approached a beach on the morning of November 28. Approximately 25 individuals can be seen disembarking from the vessel and rushing toward the shore, leaving the boat behind in the water.
Malibu is known for its affluent residents, including liberal celebrities like Barbra Streisand, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Cher. The area boasts high-end luxury homes, many of which are waterfront properties near where the boat landed.
Bill Melugin noted that such landings, a common tactic used by illegal immigrants arriving in European countries, are highly unusual in Malibu, given that it is located over 100 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border. It remains unclear if anyone was apprehended in connection with these incidents. Malibu is situated approximately 30 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.
