White House Adviser Jared Kushner Divests From His Real Estate Company

Nobody expected this to happen…

There have been rumors that both Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are considering leaving the White House staff of President Trump so that they can return to their business lives as usual.

However,  a new report shows that such rumors are probably not true. Because Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, has just divested himself from his massive real estate company according to Bloomberg News.

The Rumors In Question

The possibility of the power couple leaving D.C. started surfacing back in December after media outlets like CNBC reported that Ivanka Trump would not commit to staying in Washington.

Naturally, many people just assumed that Kushner would go where his wife goes.

At the time, Ivanka stated when pressed about her future in the White House: “I am driven first and foremost by my kids and their happiness, so that’s always going to be my top priority.”

She went on:

“And my decisions will always be flexible enough to ensure that their needs are being considered first and foremost. So, they will really drive that answer for me.”

However, it now appears as if both of them are intending to stay at the White House to help Donald Trump run this country.

Staying Put

There are many ways to interpret why Jared Kushner has decided to leave the business he was involved in. Maybe it is to prove that there are no conflicts of interest in the family business – which could become a political issue down the road.

Kushner has not been involved in the decision-making process of the company, Cadre, since 2014, but the media and Dems have used his ties to the company to point to a possible conflict of interest regarding international policy.

A second interpretation ties into that premise but goes a bit further in that it points to the implication that Kushner clearly plans on staying on during a second term.

They need to stay put as an asset to potus. They have done nothing wrong un like the Democrats pay to play and selling their office to the highest bidder.
