Trump Cancels Campaign Events Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

It’s official. Donald Trump is canceling his campaign events due to the deadly outbreak of the Coronavirus.

As the disease is picking up and reaching pandemic proportions, Donald Trump is falling in line with schools and sports leagues accross the country by canceling his events as well, according to the Daily Caller.

It’s About Caution

In a statement delivered to the media, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said Wednesday evening that the move to cancel events in Colorado and Nevada came “out of an abundance of caution.”

A similar statement was later issued by Tim Murtaugh, director of communications for Trump’s 2020 campaign, on Twitter. Murtaugh wrote the following:

Travel Ban

According to the Daily Caller, the cancellations came shortly after the president issued an address to the nation from the Oval Office regarding the coronavirus outbreak.

In those prepared remarks, Trump revealed hewould be imposing a travel ban against the vast majority of European nations.

There has been an uptick in cases of the new coronavirus in certain parts of Europe — and Trump is trying to keep us safe.

The European travel ban will last approximately one month, contingent on outbreak developments, and will feature exceptions for the United Kingdom and Ireland as well as, of course, American citizens and legal permanent residents currently abroad, provided that they clear health screenings prior to re-entry.

The Faltering Market

The market has reached a decline never seen in recent years. The VTI total stock market index has even dropped more than 25%

Investors are absolutely scared. And considering that the coronavirus hasn’t reached pandemic proportions, it’s very possible that this could get worse before it gets better.

So be prepared. Have food on hand. And don’t be afraid to take losses if it means providing food for your family.

And as always – wash your hands!
