Trey Gowdy Defends AG Barr As He Prepares To FIGHT Back Against Liberals Over Resignation

Attorney General William (Bill) Barr has suffered a lot of abuse by radical Democrats this year.

Ever since the DOJ recommended that the charges against Oliver Stone were far too harsh, Democrats have been freaking out. Liberals think that the DOJ is corrupt because they won’t just randomly throw Trump’s associates in jail. It has even been suggested that Bill Barr should RESIGN due to the DOJ’s decision to help Stone.

All of this is why former Congressman Trey Gowdy is defending Barr. He doesn’t think he should resign because he thinks Barr made the right call.

“The notion that Barr should resign is about the dumbest damn thing I’ve ever heard,” Gowdy, a Fox News contributor and former Republican congressman, told Fox’s Martha McCallum on Wednesday.

Needless to say, Democrats are freaking out because Barr helped out Oliver Stone, who is is said was facing nearly 9 years in jail over absolutely petty charges.

As a result of Barr’s decision to help out Stone, Democrats claim that President Donald Trump is merely emboldened by his acquittal of impeachment charges last week. And that Trump is abusing his power to tip the scales of justice with Barr’s help.

That’s why Democrats are reviving old accusations that date from Barr’s first involvement in the Mueller saga last year. Democrats have slammed Barr as Trump’s “henchman” and have demanded that he should even possibly face impeachment.

But in the real world, people who study law for a living like Trey Gowdy know that Bill Barr was absolutely right. That’s why Gowdy is backing Barr’s decision by noting that there are sex offenders and bank robbers who get more lenient sentences than Stone was recommended:

“If a United States Senator really believes that the head of the Department of Justice cannot weigh in on what a proportional sentence is … there are child pornographers, people who rob banks who do not get nine years. Let the judge decide, I think two or three years is about right.”

This news should make us all extremely terrified about the state of our country. The fact that Democrats are freaking out because an older gentleman isn’t being given a longer jailing sentence simply because he used to work for Trump shows us how divided America has become.

There is so much hate for Donald Trump by Democrats that they are literally willing to throw his friends in prison for decades. They don’t care about truth or justice. It’s just about sending a stupid political message.

Needless to say, Democrats are wrong for trying to destroy Bill Barr and Oliver Stone. Their actions are absolutely vile.

    It is time that the Democrats stop this before our two party system is ruined!
