According to The Daily Mail, one Democrat insider reported to Politico that Barack Obama told officials “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.” Obama allegedly also stated that Biden doesn’t understand voters in key swing states like Iowa, which could potentially nuke his campaign if he’s not careful.
Obama’s Alleged Warning
Obama reportedly lashed out at Joe Biden’s lack of understanding for a large part of Democrat voters.
According to the report, Obama allegedly told a former Democrat candidate that Joe Biden struggles to understand voters in states like Iowa:
“And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.”
One source even told Pollico that Barack Obama warned privately that Joe Biden could blow everything up on accident, allegedly saying:
“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.”
Biden Allegedly Angry At Obama
One former Obama official, Leon Panetta even says that Joe Biden may not have even believed in a lot of the policies that Obama had, but stuck by Obama anyway:
“He was loyal, I think, to Obama in every way in terms of defending and standing by him, even probably when he disagreed with what Obama was doing.”
She continued, saying that Biden was dissapointed because he allegedly felt that he was never paid back by Obama for his loyalty:
“To some extent, [he] oftentimes felt that that loyalty was not being rewarded.”
However, Biden reportedly also feels that he earned that he won the primaries himself, according to Anita Dunn, an Obama administration aide and top adviser to Biden’s presidential campaign:
‘[Biden] did feel that he needed to go out and earn it himself, as opposed to having people see it as an extension of a third Obama term or having it be any kind of referendum directly on Obama.”
