Senator Mitt Romney from Utah is nothing but a traitor and a disgrace to his party.
In yet another example of his complete disregard for the GOP, Mitt Romney just stabbed President Donald Trump in the back by claiming that his administration didn’t act quickly enough to stop the Coronavirus outbreak, according to Politico.
In an interview on Thursday, Romney bluntly said that he thought the government is acting irresponsibly in light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak and that it doesn’t have enough understanding about the complicated situation.
“We have one eye closed and the other eye is clouded over instead of having a clear, real time dashboard of all the patients in the country.”
Although Mitt Romney didn’t blame Trump directly, he did use vague language that still points fingers at Trump:
“I blame, if you will, Congress and administrations,” Romney wrote. It’s not clear what “administrations” mean, but it is assumed that he’s trying to insinuate the this is somehow the fault of the Trump administration.
Romney Is Jealous
Romney made this extremely underhanded comment just days after President Donald Trump chose not to appoint him to the Coronavirus task force. In fact, Romney was the only Republican Senator NOT put on the task force.
And although Mitt Romney may try to pretend this is not the motive behind his bashing of the president, it’s pretty clear that it is.
In fact, Romney has even gone so far as to say that he doesn’t care that he was left out of the task force. “Oh, I don’t worry about those things,” Romney reportedly said with a chuckle in response to being left out.
However, actions speak much louder than words. And Mitt Romney is now trying to make himself seem more relevant by launching attacks at the government over its handling of the Coronavirus situation.
These are just a few of the many reasons that Mitt Romney should not serve in the United States Senate. He has absolutely no business in D.C. and no respect for the Republican Party.
