Establishment Republicans are about to betray Trump’s administration out of sheer spitefulness. He made them look like complete fools in 2016 – especially Mitt Romney – and they want to destroy him.
Senator Mitt Romney now publicly ADMITS that other establishment Republicans like himself might support bringing in more witnesses in to prolong the impeachment process against Donald Trump. They especially want to hear the testimony of National Security Advisor John Bolton – who liberals claim has dirt on President Trump’s administration.
“It’s pretty fair to say John Bolton has relevant testimony,” Romney said to the media according to a report by The Hill. “I think it’s increasingly likely that other Republicans will join those of us who think we should hear from John Bolton.”
How This Started
It all started when the New York Times recently released an article with unconfirmed allegations that John Bolton’s upcoming book might show a link between Trump’s withdrawal of foreign aide to the country of Ukraine and the investigation into Biden’s illegal activity in that country.
The Times article conveniently made a big splash in American politics, causing Democrat leaders like Chuck Schumer to call for an even more extensive investigation into Trump’s actions regarding Ukraine.
Needless to say, this entire investigation is nothing but a smoke screen. The biggest reason Democrats and establishment politicians alike are making such a big issue out of Trump’s phone call to Ukraine is that they want him removed from office.
This isn’t about justice. It’s a witch hunt meant to destroy Trump’s administration.
We all remember the James Comey investigation that ended earlier last year. This impeachment process is just another long, maddening extension of that.
Nobody actually cares about Trump’s phone call to Ukraine. If it had been Obama on the phone with Ukraine, we wouldn’t even be talking about this issue right now. But because it’s Trump, lawmakers want to use it to crucify him.
