The Democrat Party is more divided than ever.
According to Fox News, Democrats are protesting in large numbers against their party’s own platform changes. More than 1,000 Democrat delegates have even voted against their party’s platform in a sign of division.
Democrats Are Protesting Against Their Own Party
Although the Democrat Party’s platform has been described as one of the most radical in the party’s history, apparently some Democrats still aren’t satisfied.
Although Democrats are pushing for issues like socialized health care, global warming, and fighting racism, there are many within the party who still think that it doesn’t go far enough.
In fact, it took the Democrat National Committee days to release the final votes on their party’s platform. And when they did release the votes, it revealed that there is a great divide within the party.
The DNC officially confirmed that only 3,562 delegates voted for the platform changes, while a large minority of 1,069 voted no.
Trump Campaign Responds
Needless to say, the Trump campaign was ready to respond to the incident. Trump campaign deputy press secretary Ken Farnaso released a statement saying:
“Biden has already embraced socialism and it’s still not enough for the left-wing extremists in his party. This week, Americans will witness a unified Republican Party standing alongside President Trump’s America First agenda. The choice couldn’t be more clear this November.”
