Monica Lewinsky has been abused by the liberal media for decades due to her affair with Former President Bill Clinton. And she’s still struggling to take control of her life since the scandal.
In a video just released today by Fast Company, Monica Lewinsky admitted that she’s been struggling very deeply with her “shame” from her days when she was serving Bill Clinton. She says that the hard struggle she’s had, confirming that she is still struggling even now to try go out in public and take control of her story. But now, she’s choosing to make a difference by helping victims of online abuse who are just like her. She’s now an executive producer of advertisements to fight against online bullying.
“Working To Not Be As Ashamed…”
Monica Lewinsky says that she’s finally ready to move on from the sex scandal with Bill Clinton that has helped shape her public image. She’s ready to reclaim her story:
“I think the last several years, in terms of reclaiming my narrative… I’d like to move away from that [her affair with Bill Clinton].”
In the interview, Lewinsky explained that she’s spent a lot of work over the past few years to not be as ashamed as she used to be of the scandal:
“A lot of the work that I had to do over the last several years was around integrating that past and working hard to not be as ashamed by it as I was.”
Monica Lewinsky first came back into the public eye when she gave a 2015 Ted Talk called “The Price Of Shame”. Since then, she has done her best to reshape her public image in a way that doesn’t negatively impact her life.
Now she’s working with a group called BBDO to make public service announcements against bullying on the internet to help children struggling like she was during the Clinton affair:
“It was really important for this to be an immersive experience and interactive.”
