Once again, failed presidential candidate and Senator Mitt Romney is proving that he is NOT a Republican.

After President Donald Trump officially pardoned Roger Stone after Stone was illegally targeted and unfairly treated by the FBI, Mitt Romney freaked out over the news. Romney called the pardon an act of “corruption”. Romney even baselessly suggested that Trump was trying to cover up his own crimes.

Romney Lashes Out

On Twitter, Mitt Romney responded to the news of Roger Stone’s sentence commute, saying:

“Unprecedented, historic corruption: an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president.”

Roger Stone Was Unfairly Targeted

Regardless of what Mitt Romney says, Trump was absolutely right to give Roger Stone a pardon. Stone was unfairly targeted by the FBI and was completely mistreated all because he has a close relationship with Trump.

Roger Stone’s wife even wrote a letter to Trump confirming that her husband was unfairly targeted, saying:

“We now know that the investigation of my husband was not approved by acting-Attorney General Rod Rosenstein until October of 2017- almost three months after Special Counsel Robert Mueller knew there was no collusion between the Russian State and the Trump Campaign.”

This means that Roger Stone was targeted after the Russia investigation was already over. It was not a real investigation. It was nothing but an attempt to jail Trump’s friends.

What’s worse is that social media companies also tried to silence Roger Stone.

Just a few days ago, Facebook made the decision to shut down all of Roger Stone’s social media accounts because they claimed he was spreading “misinformation”. They tried to silence him.
