Liberal reporters are doing everything they can to disrupt Donald Trump’s White House press conferences. And Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is finally calling them out.
According to the Washington Examiner, White House Press Secretary Rayleigh McEnany just went on the offensive against fake news journalists who are trying to attack President Trump because they think it will make them go viral.
McEnany Slams Reporters Who Attack Trump Hoping To Get Famous
In an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Thursday, McEnany explained that the reason many reporters try to attack Trump is because they’re seeking their “viral moment” of social media fame:
“People are out to elevate their stardom as a reporter, to have their moment, to get that viral moment … but, look, that’s not what this is about.”
But thankfully, McEnany says that the American people can tell when reporters are just looking for attention:
“It’s easily identifiable by the American people, there are some reporters who come in, and they truly want that information, they’ll come to my office, and they’ll say, ‘Look, this is what I want to know from the president.’ And I’ll go to him, I’ll get the information, I’ll convey it to them in a briefing.”
McEnany went on to point out that there are others who are easily recognizable as attention seekers:
“There are others who aren’t interested in that, who it’s about the viral moment, and I think the American people who watch can very much discern those interested in getting information to the people and those interested in serving themselves.”
