Joe Biden Denies Sexual Assault Allegation

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden has recently been accused of sexual assault and his own words regarding how to handle sexual assault allegations are coming back to bite him in a major way.

Joe Biden commented during the senate confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh that women who allege sexual assault should be believed. Now Tara Reade, a former staffer for Biden in the ’90s, alleges he verbally and sexually assaulted her.

Americans are curious to hear if Biden still believes in his past statements.

Believe women

A common slogan of the #MeToo movement was to “believe all women” regardless of the evidence for their accusations. Joe Biden and the Democrat party were extremely supportive of such thinking.

Tara Reade worked as a staffer for Biden in the 90’s and detailed what happened in a recent podcast interview.

Reade said, “For me, it was like, everything shattered. I looked up to him, he was like my father’s age, he was this champion of women’s rights, in my eyes. I couldn’t believe it was happening. It was surreal.”

Biden allegedly pushed Reade against the wall and kissed her while reaching under her skirt. The entire interaction was nonconsensual, according to Reade.

Gross hypocrisy

Biden once said of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, “For a woman to come forward in the glaring lights of focus, nationally, you’ve got to start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what she’s talking about is real.”

Apparently, though, the rules do not apply to Biden. The Democrat frontrunner’s communications director issued a statement on Friday dismissing the accusation.

“Women have a right to tell their story, and reporters have an obligation to rigorously vet those claims. We encourage them to do so, because these accusations are false,” the statement, provided to Fox News, declared.

The reaction to Reade’s accusations have shown gross hypocrisy and exposed the partisan nature of the #metoo movement.

Democrats were perfectly willing to entertain an unproven accusation against a political opponent but they themselves live by different rules. Even the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund refused to represent Reade against Biden.
