In a shocking turn of events, television priest and Fox News star Jonathan Morris is getting married.
According to an exclusive report by the Daily Mail, Fox News priest Jonathan Morris is engaged to be married to an ABC News producer. This comes a year after Morris, 47, announced he was leaving the Catholic priesthood because he regretted “not being able to marry and have a family.”
Trading Priesthood For Marriage
Morris finally confirmed that last year the Fox News television priest personally asked Pope Francis to relieve him from his duties, saying his decision wasn’t ‘due to any existing relationships,’ which the Vatican has now granted him, freeing him to marry in the church.
He reportedly told the Mail the following:
“Last year, after much discernment, I left the priesthood, and expressed very publicly then, that I was doing so with the hope of love, marriage, and family.”
And now, Morris is reportedly preparing to finally get married like he wanted.
He confirms that he has officially proposed to ABC News producer Kaitlyn Folmer, 37, last month and are expected to wed at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
According to him, the relationship has been the best thing he’s had in his life:
“Kaitlyn and I went to lunch. One month later, we went to dinner. Every day since, we have seen each other or spoken by phone.”
“I just can’t wait to marry Kaitlyn and be with her for the rest of my life. I will continue to express my faith in God and my love for the Church in this new chapter of my life.”
Other Fox News Stars Getting Ready For Marriage?
This news comes just as Fox News host Sean Hannity has officially announced that he and his former wife secretly got divorced a few years ago.
Apparently, Hannity has been in a private relationship these past few months with a costar at “Fox And Friends” star Ainsley Earhardt. However, nothing of yet has been confirmed.
