Donald Trump was right. The FBI did spy on him. And it was worse than we thought.
Newly declassified documents have just been released showing the dreadful extent of the FBI’s targeted spying of President Donald Trump back in 2017.
Apparently, the FBI team led by James Comey in addition to electronic surveillance, such as cell phone monitoring and searching email accounts, also carried out what was described as “physical searches” targeting a campaign adviser to President Donald Trump in the early days of his presidency named Carter Page .
The footnote describing two separate searches of Page’s property explains everything:
“The FBI took and retained on an FBI‐issued cell phone photographs of certain property taken in connection with a FISA‐authorized physical search on July 13, 2017, which NSD assessed did not comport with the SMPs. In addition in a separate incident on July 29, 2017, the FBI took photographs in connection with another FISA‐authorized physical search and transferred the photographs to an electronic folder on the FBI’s classified secret network.”
Contacted by Breitbart News, Page said that he searched his location history and found that on July 23, 2017 he was staying at a hotel in Princeton, NJ. On July 29, 2017, the other date mentioned in the footnote for when the FBI took pictures of his property after a physical search, Page says he was staying at a hotel in Norwalk, CT.
As Bad As It Gets
This is even worse than the Watergate scandal. The fact that our very own FBI conducted such an outrageous targeted assault against Donald Trump’s campaign team is too horrifying to even think about.
When Donald Trump said the swamp needed to be drained, he meant it. FBI officials like James Comey never should have been allowed in power to begin with, much less after they abused it like that.
Republican Senators Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin released the footnotes and put out a joint statement saying the details prove the FBI’s claimed justification to obtain the FISA warrants to spy on Page “was riddled with significant flaws.” So thankfully, it doesn’t look like James Comey or his cronies will get away with it.
But either way, this is serious. People like James Comey should pay for abusing their power. And so should every other government official who tries to use their position to undermine the president of the United States.
