Sen. Elizabeth Warren has been struggling to keep her campaign alive. She even resorted to dirty tricks recently to keep her campaign afloat.
But now, Elizabeth Warren is finally admitting that her chances of being the Democrat nominee are pretty slim at this point. So slim, in fact, that the only chance she has left will be a contested Democrat convention, according to Fox News. However, she will NOT be dropping out in spite of demands from voters.
The Fall Of Elizabeth Warren
in a somewhat jarring memo released on Sunday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign stated that “the reality of this race” is a contested Democrat National Convention is going to be a dramatic “final play.”
Warren’s memo came after Joe Biden scored a strong win in South Carolina’s Saturday primary. The win suddenly made Biden the overall popular vote leader in the primary cycle, making it much more possible that a contested convention will occur.
However, even if there was a contested convention, it’s extremely unlikely that anyone will push for Warren to be the nominee. After all, she hasn’t won a single state yet, and according to Fox, Warren “could suffer even more losses when 14 states vote on Super Tuesday.”
Why Elizabeth Warren Needs To Drop Out
It’s pretty clear at this point that Warren has no path to becoming the nominee anymore. Her shot is pretty much over.
Right now, political prediction markets such as Predict It only show that Warren has a 2 percent chance of becoming the nominee.
The only right thing to do is for Elizabeth Warren to drop out to give moderates like Joe Biden a fighting chance. And apparently, most people agree.
According to Fox:
“Meanwhile, pressure is mounting for lagging candidates to step aside so Biden can engage in a more direct match-up against Sanders, who heads into the coming week eager to surpass his rivals in amassing delegates for the nomination.”
Warren needs to go away. The only serious Democrat candidates at this point are Biden and Sanders.
