Democrat leaders have tried to stall President Donald Trump for WEEKS over Coronavirus. But they failed.
President Donald Trump released a statement confirming that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are finally ready to negotiate after their attempts to bluff him by stalling legislation didn’t work. “So now Schumer and Pelosi want to make a deal,” Trump said.
Democrats Tried To Stall Trump And Failed
Negotiations between congressional lawmakers and the White House reached a stalemate over the weekend when Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer tried to play hardball with President Trump.
For 4 weeks, Pelosi and Schumer both tried to use the Coronavirus crisis to push through legislation that would bail out Democrat states. But ultimately, they failed, and now Trump is the one with the leverage.
Now President Trump has officially signed four executive actions over the weekend to provide Americans financial relief from the ongoing pandemic.
On Twitter, Trump seemingly confirmed this, writing:
“So now Schumer and Pelosi want to meet to make a deal. Amazing how it all works, isn’t it. Where have they been for the last 4 weeks when they were “hardliners”, and only wanted BAILOUT MONEY for Democrat run states and cities that are failing badly?”
Trump ended his statement saying that Democrats know his number if they ever decide to make a deal:
“They know my phone number!”
