It’s a disturbing trend that shows just how much tech billionaires have in America.
According to a new report from The Epoch Times, Microsoft founder Bill Gates now owns more land in the United States than anyone else in the country. In fact, he owns a whopping 242,000 acres of farmland across the country.
Bill Gates Takes Control Of Farmland
Bill Gates, who is the fourth most wealthy person in the world, has reportedly acquired more than 242,000 acres of farmland across the country. As a result, he controls more farmland than anyone else.
Reports show that Bill and his family have obtained “an estimated 242,000 acres of farmland” overall. That farmland portfolio stretches across 18 states, according to the report.
The Epoch Times reports that his biggest holdings are the following:
“The Gates’ largest holdings are in Louisiana with about 69,000 acres, Arkansas with about 47,000 acres, Nebraska with about 20,000 acres, and more, according to The Land Report.”
Needless to say, the whole situation is very mysterious. Even Forbes magazine doesn’t know why Bill Gates would buy so much land:
“It is not entirely clear how Gates’ farmland is being used, or whether any of the land is being set aside for conservation.”
Needless to say, many of his biggest enemies across the country are FURIOUS that one man could have so much power. Especially power over such an important resource like farm land.
