Once again, it looks like the judicial system is trying to save Ghislaine Maxwell from punishment.
According to the Daily Mail, a court just handed Maxwell a surprise victory by DELAYING the release of a 2016 deposition about Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex life. Maxwell apparently convinced the court to delay releasing the documents after she claimed the documents would be so explosive that she would not get a fair trial. And now, the court has decided to side with her.
Court Sides With Maxwell
The report confirms that the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals just gave the order to delay the release of the explosive sex documents against Maxwell. Instead, they will wait until some time in September to review Maxwell’s case, giving her a major win in her fight to hide evidence against her.
Maxwell’s appeal will be heard on an expedited basis, with oral argument scheduled for September 22.
But Maxwell isn’t completely off the hook. Dozens of other documents were released on late Thursday. And the presiding judge on the case says that the public should see what’s inside it.
Maxwell Is Trying To Block Evidence
This news comes just days after Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyers tried to BLOCK secret testimony from being released to the public. Maxwell’s lawyers tried to block the testimony Maxwell gave to investigators because it would be a “perjury trap”.
Maxwell’s lawyer said:
“Ms. Maxwell’s two deposition transcripts were designated ‘Confidential’ and subject to the protection of the Protective Order.”
Therefore, because the transcripts were “Confidential,” Maxwell’s lawyers claim that they shouldn’t be released to the public.
