5 People, Including Mostly Children, Shot Dead In Milwaukee

This is absolutely heartbreaking.

Police officials in Milwaukee have just arrested a man who opened fire in a small neighborhood, killing 5 people. Most of the victims were just children, according to Fox News.

The victims were between the ages of 14 and 41, and the shooting took place shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday.

All of the victims were reportedly part of the same family.

The attack was the second mass shooting in Milwaukee this year. The last time this happened was when a Molson Coors brewery worker gunned down five co-workers on Feb. 26 before turning his gun on himself.

Only 1 Survivor

When officers arrived on scene, they found five deceased victims — but there was one survivor, a toddler, who managed to survive the shooting, and has since been rushed to the hospital to be treated for severe psychological trauma.

“There is a child at the hospital right now,” said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. “I think that child is fine. Obviously, he’s been through a lot of trauma, as well.”

Only 1 Shooter

Police Chief Alfonso Morales said during his news conference that the person who called officers to the scene was taken into custody and there is no threat to the public.

He said investigators believe the shooter acted alone and they have recovered a weapon.
